The Bovey Tracey Golf Centre is where I had my first Golf Pro lessons back in 2013.   My dad and I played on the nine hole mini par 3 course.   Makes me smile looking back at that time.  The course felt so big yet you could walk around it in minutes.

Seahouses is a links course in Northumberland.   We stopped here on the way back from Scotland.  Only had time for the first nine holes before heading home.   We stopped when a huge rain storm started.  Played the nine holes with an old American guy who plays in England & Scotland on an annual basis.  Said he was so old he was running out of playing partners…..

The Welcombe Golf Club is a stunning course with some amazing views of the surrounding countryside.  Highly recommended by my dad.

The Branston Golf & Country Club is the location of the Midlands regional Wee Wonders final.   I’ve had a warm up 9 holes here that didn’t go well.  Watch the water on the 1st hole of the 9 hole course.  Dad was ecstatic with his eight bogeys and a par.  I’ll be better next time.  Btw a very friendly pro shop !

The Willesley Park Golf Club is in Ashby de la Zouch.   It’s where I played to qualify for the Wee Wonders Midlands final.   Unfortunately because of torrential rain I didn’t get to play all the holes we were supposed to do.   However from what I could play it was very undulating with some tricky greens.  One to go back to do properly.  Very friendly Pro Shop.
