The Bovey Tracey Golf Centre is where I had my first Golf Pro lessons back in 2013. My dad and I played on the nine hole mini par 3 course. Makes me smile looking back at that time. The course felt so big yet you could walk around it in minutes. Course Location … Continue reading "A-Z Of Courses"
The Branston Golf & Country Club is the location of the Midlands regional Wee Wonders final. I've had a warm up 9 holes here that didn't go well. Watch the water on the 1st hole of the 9 hole course. I've played the New Course on a miserable, wet February day so really not seen it at a time I would prefer to play it. Without doubt Burhill is a really impressive club and playing up to the clubhouse on the par 3 eighteenth is quite spectacular. Definitely need to come back when the sun … Continue reading "A-Z Of Courses"
I played at Carnoustie Links in a Wee Wonders North & East Scotland regional final in July 2017. What a quite amazing golf course. Fantastic course, challenging weather conditions and such friendly people in the club house. A privilege to play there. I'll be back. Course Location Related Posts Nothing found. Course Images
Chobham Golf Club in Surrey is a really nice course. Pristine greens which can run quicker than average. There are lots of trees on the course and it has a feeling of playing in an arboretum. I’ve found the course challenging on the two times playing there. If I can get my … Continue reading "A-Z Of Courses"
Farnham is a beautiful course. It's got trees, heather and great views across Surrey. I've only played the once but had a good round in what is a good test of golf. It's not a bad length off the yellow tees at 6268 yards. Course Location Related Posts Nothing found. Course Images
Farrington Park Golf Club located halfway between Wells & Bristol has 9 & 18 hole courses. It is the location for the South West of England Wee Wonders regional final in 2017. Hampton Court Palace Golf Club in the grounds of Henry VIII’s palace has a very open and almost Scottish links feel to it. I suspect wind can have quite an impact on a round here. Horton Park Golf Club is my home club. It is midway between Epsom and Chessington and has lots of facilities golfers and non golfers. The Academy course is very playable and it's where … Continue reading "A-Z Of Courses"
I have played the 876 yard 9 hole par 3 Mini Links course. You might think, 'oh only 876 yards' but on a windy day, with small greens, run-offs etc it was fun and challenging. Despite being so close to London (you can see the City of London in the distance) the course had … Continue reading "A-Z Of Courses"
Whoa, Lumphanan Golf Club near Banchory in Aberdeenshire is a tricky course. Do not be fooled by the distances on the scorecard. In total the mix of nine par 3 & 4 holes measure 1,859 yards but the demand accuracy and good positioning. The course follows a route around a hill and doubles back … Continue reading "A-Z Of Courses"
Played here on holiday as it was on the site of our apartment. This is the first proper golf course my dad and I spent some decent time on. Malden Golf Club is a be a beautiful park land course surrounded by the southern suburbs of London. Really enjoyed this course as did my dad. Moore Place Golf Club on the outskirts of Esher is a nine hole undulating course with par 3’s and shortish par 4’s. It’s a nice challenge but also doable for beginners. I found Oak Park challenging. It's a fairly tight park land course with significant tree lined fairways and fairly long rough immediately off the fairway.
