I played here in a Wee Wonder regional final.  It’s one of the friendliest golf clubs I’ve ever played at.  Really nice course too.

I played on the nine hole course.  Quite a challenge.

Beautiful location.  I played the 9 hole course but would like to come back sometime to play the main course.  Wild country !

Cambridge Lakes Golf Course is a course I played when I competed in the East England Wee Wonders regional final.

I have played the 876 yard 9 hole par 3 Mini Links course.

You might think, ‘oh only 876 yards’ but on a windy day, with small greens, run-offs etc it was fun and challenging.   Despite being so close to London (you can see the City of London in the distance) the course had a genuine ‘Links’ feel to it.

Dad and I were recommended to play Osborne Golf Club when I was on the Isle of Wight playing a Wee Wonders competition.  So with a few hours left before our ferry we stopped by and played nine holes.

The lady in the clubhouse was very friendly and pleased we were there.   What an amazing course with a lot of history related to Queen Victoria.  Read here for a description of its heritage.

Unfortunately because we played on a misty day we had no views beyond the course but what a course.  So many trees !   My favourite was the seventh hole which is a sweeping downhill right dog leg.

Dad says he rates this his favourite course so far this year.
